Featuring a full through-hole (DIP) contact pin configuration (14-pin) paired with 4 DIP outer shell grounding legs, it delivers high mechanical peel strength and vibration resistance. Rated for 5V AC and 5.0A minimum on VBUS lines, it supports standard USB 2.0 (DP1/DN1, DP2/DN2) signal transmission and reliable power delivery. Built with a high-temperature LCP (UL 94V-0) housing, gold-plated copper alloy contacts, and nickel-plated stainless steel shell and mid plate, it ensures 10,000 mating cycles of durable performance in compact edge-mount assemblies.
Application Notes:
PCB Edge Cutout & DIP Pin Layout: Adhere strictly to the recommended PCB edge cutout and the 14-pin through-hole footprint (14X dia 0.60mm) and 4-shell DIP anchor slots as defined in drawing EU14FB3M1264 to ensure correct seating and flush edge alignment.
Mechanical Anchoring & Wave Soldering: The 4 DIP shell legs provide rugged mechanical anchoring against heavy insertion and extraction forces (rated 5N to 20N insertion, 8N to 20N extraction). Fully fill the through-hole barrels with solder during wave or selective soldering to maximize joint strength.
Pin Assignment & Reversibility: This 14-pin receptacle includes dedicated VBUS (5A), GND, CC1/CC2, and dual USB 2.0 differential pairs (DP1/DN1, DP2/DN2) for reversible orientation. It does not support USB 3.x SuperSpeed differential lines.
